How to cure Prickly Heat ( Choodukuru)

1. Coconut Milk 

Coconut Milk is a better remedy to cure heat rashes/ prickly heat.  Apply coconut milk on heat rashes. It helps to cure the prickle heat suddenly. Note that no need to dilute this milk with water.  Apply coconut milk alone on rashes. 

How To Use It
1. Take coconut milk and stored in a well container
2. Keep it in a refrigerator and can be used for 1 week.
3. Apply the coconut milk 2 two time in a day on affected areas.

2. Coconut Water 

Like coconut milk, coconut water also useful to cure it. So applying it on rashes will cure very fastly. It also suitable for the one who have itching problem. 

How To Use It
1. Take coconut water.
2. Apply it  on affected areas for 3 to 4 times a day.

3. Oats

All we know that oats are best nutritious food  and also used by diet planners. Beside this  oatmeal has a lot more benefits. It is excellent for skin.  Oats have anti-inflammatory properties, so it helps to sooth the swelling of prickly heat rashes and also good for itching.

How To Use It
1. Grind the oats into powder
2. Add some lukewarm water into it.
3. Apply it for at least 15-20 minutes.
4.  After bath pat dry your body.

Note:  If one who have no this problem, they can also use it because Oats are good for exfoliating skin. It soothes the dry skin too. So apply it one or two days in a week for healthy glowing skin

4.  Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera which is one of the ingredient of beauty products.  Its cooling and moistening effect will be helpful in keeping your body cool. It is also well-known for its anti-inflammatory activity. Thus, you get relief from the irritation and inflammation of the skin that happens due to prickly heat. 

How To Use It 

1.  Extract the gel from the Aloe leaf.
2. Apply it on the skin.
          Note: Never apply the yellowish part of the Aloe Vera gel because it causes irritations to some people. Only use white portions of the gel. 

 4. Cucumber and milk

Cucumber is a source of nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, and calcium. Apart from these nutrients, it contains water. Thus, a cucumber drink can calm our body. Also we can apply cucumber juice on the rashes. 
How To Use It
.1. Take cucumber and grind it into paste.
2. Add milk ( rosewater also preferable ) into it .
3. Apply this mixture on affected area or whole body for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. Wash with water.

Additional Methods

  • Corn flour can be used as a powder instead of talcum powder or deodorant for irritated skin.
  • Ice cubes can bring down swelling and inflammation, soothing your skin.  Be caution that never apply ice cubes directly on skin, always used it after wrapping with a clean cloth. 
  • Neem  is also usable remedy for any rashes on skin. We can use neem water ( by boiling neem leaves in water and used it after cooling ).  We can also it on affected area in paste form by diluting with water or milk.
  • Applying curd or honey on body also soothes irritated skin.  
  • The root of Naruneendi (Indian sarsaparilla) is a best ayurvedic drink for body especially during summer season. Boil the water by using this root and drink as normally. It can buy from Ayurvedic homes (Angadikada) at a very low  price.  Also taking a bath by using this is very  excellent for skin and helps for cure rashes too.
